Hi there! My name is Howard, I’m a solo British backpacker who loves adventure.
Whenever you’re on your phone these days, you are bombarded every minute with beautiful images, reels and stories of people ‘traveling the world and making a living out of it’ am I right? Well, after a lifetime in the agricultural industry, I thought sure it’s worth a shot?
Now, I will say this first. I have not created ‘Howard’s Jaunts’ to earn money and create a career out of this and full time travel. I have created it to document my travels over the years to come, a sort of diary, if you like. I have saved religiously through the past year as I plan to leave the UK and fly to Australia to begin traveling once again.
I aim to teach myself some of the skills needed to work online and hopefully focus that towards a future career in travel. At the very minimun it will be some more skills to add to my resume! I will continue to work seasonally on farms to help pay for my travel until I can hopefully land myself a remote based job which helps to pay some of my travel expenses, that is the aim!
So as I said, I aim to document not only my travels, but my journey of changing my life and getting a foundation for a potential career in the travel industry. I hope that I can provide others with the knowledge and motivation that this is something you can do too, if you want to pursue it.
